INVITATION

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

      the tradition of International Meeting on Forensic Medicine Alpe - Adria – Pannonia has been developing for nearly two decades. We, forensic professionals in Bratislava, are honoured and pleased to organize and host next year the XX. anniversary of this event. Our pleasure is intensified with the fact that this Meeting will be organized in Slovakia for the first time.

      The Faculty of Medicine is one of the founders of today's University, which from 1919 has been carrying the name of the famous pedagogue and philosopher, Jan Amos Comenius  “the teacher of nations”. Faculty is recognized by the World Health Organization  and listed in WHO directory of Medical Schools. It has a tradition of academic excellence and commitment to education of physicians and dentists. The Institute of Forensic Medicine has as long tradition of its existence as the Faculty itself and the Institute of Forensic Medicine was one of the first five institutes of a newly established Faculty of Medicine in 1919.

      The Meeting venue is near the city centre of Bratislava one of the newest capital cities in Europe. However, it is the city with a rich history of a free royal coronation town during the Habsburg Monarchy. The city is often called „Beauty on the Danube“. Our aim is to enable all participants to enjoy the academic and social activities of the Meeting in a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. This will enable the foreign visitors participating in our events for the first time to get to know the Slovak capital together with taking part in the Congress.

      On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is my great pleasure to invite you to participate in this event. We do hope that both the scientific and social programmes will be successful, beneficial and enjoyable for all participants.

Get together party

Get together party will be held on Wednesday June 01, 2011 at 19:30 at the Congress venue.

Boat tour

Boat tour of the Danube across the city to the ruins of Devin Castle will be held on Thursday June 2, 2011 at 16:00.

Classic music concert

Classic music concert will be held on Thursday June 2, 2011 in the hall “Dvorana”  of the Academy of Performing Arts after the boat tour at 19:00.

Congress dinner

Congress dinner is scheduled on Friday June 3, 2011 at 19:00 at the Congress venue.

 

ACCOMODATION

Accommodation will be provided at the Congress venue. The participants are kindly requested to book their accomodation individually.
