The study of medicine has always been one of the most challenging, as it has the ambition to teach the student – a future medical doctor, all available medical knowledge. Modern medicine, however, is one of the fastest developing professions, with novel information accumulating with a breath-taking pace. Thus, we have to accept, that learning everything is impossible, what’s more, it’s not even necessary. In the recent years, medical education has been facing the major challenge of having to select from all available knowledge what is really fundamental and important to the student. At present, medical practice requires graduates who not only have extensive theoretical knowledge, but also practical skills and are able to deal with common medical problems with sufficient proficiency.

Our aim is to bring real-life medical practice closer to the students, enable the students to gain practical experience and contribute to them becoming graduates – medical doctors, who apart from theoretical knowledge have also practical skills required for a doctor’s daily practice, such as communication with patients, working in a medical team, routine medical procedures and practical solution of common medical situations.
