Visit of the experts from the Faculty of Medicine, Uppsala University

Dr. Soorej Jose Puthoopparambil and dr. Syed Moshfiqur Rahman from the Department of Women's and Children's Health at the Faculty of Medicine, Uppsala University in Sweden, visited the Comenius University Faculty of Medicine in Bratislava on the 26th of April, 2023. The visit was organized within the international ENLIGHT project, which aims to facilitate partnerships in education and research at nine participating European universities
Dr. Soorej Jose Puthoopparambil is a Programme Coordinator for Global Health Education at Uppsala University and a Head of the WHO Collaborating Centre on Migration and Health Data and Evidence in Sweden. He discussed future collaboration on joint teaching and research activities focusing on social determinants and ethical aspects of migration and health with the representatives from the Institute of Social Medicine and Medical Ethics representatives.
Dr. Syed Moshfiqur Rahman is an Associate Professor at the Department of Women's and Children's Health, International Child Health and Nutrition at Uppsala University. His professional activities are focused on the topic of women's and children's health, as well as the child health and nutrition in international contexts. In the meeting with representatives of the Institute of Physiology, the participants shared their experience from research activities aimed at children, and they discussed the potential for future collaboration in the field of research and education.
