What is nostrification and why do I need it?

Nostrification is a legal process of recognition of a foreign diploma. A foreign applicant who obtained their education abroad can only study at Slovak university if their diploma/certificate is recognized as equal to a complete secondary school education in Slovakia.

Does your faculty offer dormitories or other types of accommodation?

 

All admitted applicants have guaranteed accommodation only for the first year of study. The higher classes (2nd - 6th) do not have guaranteed room - based on their study results they compete with each other (all of faculty’s students) for a room in dormitories.

Please be aware that you have to proceed exactly according to the rules, otherwise you will not be able to secure a room - for example paying the advance deposit on time is crucial.

The applicant chooses their room in an online system (after they submit their application and pay the reservation fee).
