The student is guaranteed to pay the same tuition fee each academic year for the standard duration of study (GM 6 years, DEN 5 years).
| Please note that tuition fees cannot be paid on a semester-by-semester basis. However, you may split the payment into instalments from the date of your admission until the end of August. Please be aware that failure to pay the tuition fee by the deadline may result in you being unable to enrol. The full tuition fee must be credited to the faculty's account by the date of enrolment. |
Admission without an entrance examination!
DO YOU HOLD AN IB DIPLOMA?
Holders of an eligible International Baccalaureate Diploma may apply for admission without an entrance examination for 2027/2028.
Application period: 15 November – 31 December 2026.
Requirements
Minimum IB Diploma score: 33 points in total.
Proof of fulfilment of the requirements shall be the International Baccalaureate Diploma issued by the International Baccalaureate Organization (hereinafter referred to as the “IBO”). At the time of submitting the application, a confirmation of expected results (Predicted Grades) issued by an International Baccalaureate World School shall be sufficient. The applicant is required to submit the official final results (the so-called “Transcript of Grades”) issued by the IBO no later than 31 July 2027. Otherwise, the applicant's entitlement to admission shall lapse.
Please be aware that holders of an IB Diploma issued by an IBO outside Slovakia are required to have their diploma recognised (nostrified) in Slovakia.

Please note: Applicants from outside the European Union should register for the March entrance exam only, as the visa application process can take several weeks. Therefore, we strongly recommend choosing the March exam date.

On August 16 and 17, the entrance exam will be held online and in person in Bratislava.
When submitting the e-application, all applicants must choose the format of the entrance examination (online or in person) they wish to attend. Please follow our MANUAL step by step to complete the application correctly.
Please note that if you do not select the IN PERSON test option when filling out the e-application, you will automatically be placed on the list for the ONLINE test, which takes place on the same day.

The applicant may submit only one application for a study programme per academic year. It is not possible to reschedule the entrance examination to another date or submit an additional application for a different date. Exceptions apply only if the applicant notifies us at least one day before the scheduled entrance examination. In case of illness, notification may also be provided on the day of the entrance examination (before the examination begins), if the applicant provides a doctor's note.
The admitted students will be enrolled in September 2027.
ADMISSION FEE - 85 €
Admission Fee for the application process is 85 €.
If the applicant applies for both study programmes, the admission fee must be paid for each application.
The applicants will be admitted to the Entrance Exam (EE) ONLY after we register the Admission Fee amount on the Faculty´s bank account before the respective deadline for your chosen EE date.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR ADMISSION PROCESS
An applicant has to attach following documents to their application online (we require only ONLINE application form with attached documents, no need to print anything):
1. A passport scan (for EU citizens ID card is sufficient)
- scan of the page with photo and personal details (including Place of Birth)
2. A scan of the Secondary Education Diploma/Certificate.
- basic condition for admission to study at a university level in Slovakia is that your secondary school leaving certificate corresponds with the European Qualification Framework level 4. The National Qualifications Framework of the Slovak Republic
If you do not have the diploma/certificate yet, you can provide us with an official letter from your high school stating your full name, surname, date of birth, the date of your graduation and date of receiving of your High School Diploma. We accept certificates and letters in English or Slovak language.
3. Proof of admission fee payment.
The applicants will be admitted to the Entrance Exam (EE) ONLY after we register the Admission Fee amount on the Faculty´s bank account before the respective deadline for your chosen EE date.
When making the bank transfer, please ensure that you provide your full name as it appears in your application in the payee reference field, so that we can allocate the payment correctly.
! Please do not pay twice even if there is a note in the system ´unpaid´ !
Special needs:
The applicant with special educational needs sends together with the application form for study a request for adaptation of the entrance examination with the relevant professional medical documentation as well as the consent of the data subject to the processing of personal data. After evaluating the specific needs, the entrance examination in accordance with Internal Regulation no. 23/2014 - Directive of the Rector of Comenius University in Bratislava.

All required documents have to be submitted to the online e-Application until the respective registration deadline for your chosen entrance exam date. Otherwise the applicant shall not be registered for EE.
- The list of required documents is mandatory for Slovak applicants also.
- We do not require English language proficiency certificate.
After you are succesfully admitted, you are obliged to submit the following documents:
- Birth certificate - notarized and translated to Slovak language
- Medical fitness certificate
- Proof of vaccination against HepB
- Nostrification/recognition statement (more information below)
These documents must be provided latest by the enrollment day.
NOSTRIFICATION / RECOGNITION STATEMENT
Nostrification / Recognition statement of secondary school leaving certificate
According to new legislation in Slovakia, applicants from the EU countries, Switzerland, Norway, Liechtenstein, United Kingdom, Ukraine, Russia and China do not need nostrification if their finished secondary level education is listed in an online registry (link below).
However, in order to study in Slovakia, it is necessarry to provide a Recognition statement along with a notarized proof of completion of secondary education (diploma) translated into Slovak language.
- You can make a notarized copy of your diploma in your country; it does not need to be notarized by a Slovak notary. After making this copy, contact a certified translator from the registry (link below).
Choose the correct target language (language in which the diploma is written). The registry is available only in Slovak language, you will need to use google translate function of your internet browser to translate the webpage into your language.
Please be aware that the Recognition statement (acquired through the link below) is NOT VALID without providing your notarized and translated high school diploma.

Nostrification is a legal process for the recognition of a foreign diploma. You can study at a Slovak university only if your diploma or certificate is recognized as equivalent to a complete secondary school education in Slovakia. It must be submitted no later than on the day of enrolment.
You need nostrification if you:
are an applicant who obtained their education in a country other than those mentioned above
completed secondary school in one of the countries mentioned above, but your school is not listed in the registry
have an IB diploma issued outside Slovakia
