Brief description of the project/Kurze Beschreibung des Projekts:

SK: The goal of the project is the cooperation of key actors of the regional education and innovation system of western Slovakia / eastern Austria with the aim of optimizing the transfer of knowledge to doctors and students of medical professions, building the necessary infrastructure for this and adequately educating teachers. Especially in the age of digitization, a functional link between traditional and virtual anatomy should be created within the framework of innovative cross-border anatomy courses and educational concepts. The teachers and students who work at the Medical Faculty of Vienna (MedUni Wien) will be given know-how and practical experience regarding the use of virtual anatomy teaching aids and the introduction of coordinated anatomical seminars by the staff of LFUK in Bratislava. Know-how on how to involve tutors (instructors) in theoretical and practical lessons of small groups of students, which take place on anatomical dry and wet specimens in large groups of students, will be transferred from MedUni Wien to LFUK Bratislava. Emphasis will be placed on knowledge review in a blended learning environment, as well as teaching and continuing education concepts and student instructor motivation. Together, digitally supported courses will be created that integrate traditional and modern teaching and learning methods and concepts. These will be provided to students of general medicine and dentistry, and based on the cooperation of universities with regional universities of applied sciences, academies and medical schools (Bratislava, Vienna, Lower Austria regions) students of these schools will also benefit from the study programs established here. This project is a catalyst for long-term cross-border cooperation between LFUK and MedUni Wien and will have an impact on health prevention and the provision of health care for the population in this region.

DE: Ziel des Projektes ist die Zusammenarbeit der Schlüsselakteure im regionalen Ausbildungs- und Innovationssystem von West-Slowakei bzw. Ost-Österreich, umden Wissenstransfer in der Ausbildung von Ärzten und medizinische Gesundheitsberufen zu optimieren, die dazu notwendige Infrastruktur aufzubauen und dieLehrenden adäquat auszubilden. On February 24, 2023, a meeting of both project teams took place with the participation of Interreg SK-AT representatives for both countries.
