Academic senate

The Academic Senate of the Faculty of Medicine (AS LF UK) is its self-governing representative body. According to Article 17, "Academic Senate of the Faculty" of the Statute of the Faculty of Medicine, the Senate has 87 members, including 57 members in the Employee Part of the Senate and 30 members in the Student Part of the Senate.

 

The Employee Part comprises members of the academic community who are employees, university teachers, and research staff with an established weekly working time with the faculty elected in direct secret elections. The term of office for members of the employee part of the academic Senate of the faculty is four years.

 

The Student part comprises doctoral and postgraduate students enrolled in a study program at the faculty, elected in direct secret elections. The term of office for members of the student part of the academic Senate of the faculty is two years.
