PhD STUDY

The English language is an integral part of the first-year PhD study programme for all PhD students. It is aimed to integrate both the receptive and productive communication skills at an advanced level based on terminology and focused on students´ professional needs. It is highly desirable to enable students to communicate at the required level in both written and oral form, to present their research results at international conferences and workshops using the English language. Students' language competence is widened via communication in everyday situations focused on situations in the university and medical environment.  Special emphasis is laid on language competences in the chosen field of PhD study. The course focuses on the extension of required professional vocabulary with special attention paid to the needs of practice in the individual specialties.
