VICE DEAN FOR PROPERTY MANAGEMENT AND INVESTMENT STRATEGIES

He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of Comenius University in Bratislava in general medicine in 1980. From 1980 to 1998, he was a lecturer at the Institute of Pathology of the Faculty Hospital and Faculty of Medicine, CU. In 1985, he passed the 1st certification in pathology and forensic medicine. He completed his doctoral studies in 1991 in pathology and forensic medicine. In 1998, he transferred to the Department of Histology and Embryology of the Faculty of Medicine, Comenius University, where he was the head of the department from 2005 to 2022. He completed his habilitation in anatomy, histology, and embryology in 2006 at Comenius University in Bratislava. In 2010, he passed the certification in pathological anatomy. In 2015, he was appointed a professor of pathological anatomy and forensic medicine at Comenius University in Bratislava.  From 2010 to 2014, he worked at the 1st Gynaecology and Obstetrical Department of the Faculty of Medicine of CU in Bratislava as a leading clinical embryologist for the department of assisted reproduction. He is the guarantor of the study of biomedical physics at the Faculty of Medicine of CU in Bratislava. He is the head of the electron microscopy laboratory at the Department of Histology and Embryology of the Faculty of Medicine, Comenius University. He is currently the head of the Anatomical Institute of the Faculty of Medicine of CU in Bratislava.  From 2022, he is a member of the Slovak Anatomical Society committee of SMS. In publishing, he is the author and co-author of four scientific monographs, six university textbooks, and more than 200 scientific works. In the response statistics, he has over 1300 citations, of which almost 1000 are in foreign publications registered in citation indexes. He was the solver and co-solver of several VEGA, KEGA and APVV grants. He received several awards for his work.
