He was born in 1981 in Bratislava. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Comenius University in Bratislava, in general medicine in 2006. Since completing his university studies, he has worked at the 5th Internal Department of the Faculty of Medicine, CU, first as a secondary doctor and since 2010 as a university teacher. Academic title PhD he achieved in 2012 at JFM UK in Martin. In 2017, he completed his habilitation in internal diseases at the Medical Faculty of CU in Bratislava. He specializes in diabetes, nutrition and substance metabolism disorders, internal medicine, and endocrinology, and is also a specialist in public health management, "Master of Public Health". He is a member of the committee for the defence of diploma theses in internal medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, CU, and a committee for state examinations in internal medicine. He is a member of the teaching staff for specialized studies in endocrinology and internal medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, CU in Bratislava. He is also responsible for doctoral studies in general medicine and the study program of internal diseases at the Faculty of Medicine of CU in Bratislava. He is a member of committees of several professional societies. He also works as the scientific secretary of the Slovak Society for Osteoporosis and Metabolic Bone Diseases of SMS, a member of the committee of the Slovak Internal Society of SMS, a member of the committee and chairman of the working group for diabetology, lipidology and obesity of the Slovak Endocrinology Society of SMS, a member of the Society for Endocrinology committee, menopause and andropause. He is a member of several professional societies – Slovak Diabetes Association, Slovak Diabetes Association, Slovak Obesity Association, Slovak Atherosclerosis Association, European Endocrinology Society (ESE) and European Society for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) and a Fellow of the European Federation of Internal Medicine. He is the vice-chairman of the Committee of the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic for standard diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and vice-chairman of the Committee of the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic of procedures for the performance of prevention. He is also a member of the Categorization Committee of the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic for institutional healthcare and the Categorization Council of the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic for medical devices. He is the author and co-author of several professional publications in domestic and foreign periodicals with numerous citation responses. He is a researcher or co-researcher of several clinical studies in endocrinology, osteology, internal medicine, and diabetes. He is a member of the research teams focused on scientific research at the Medical Faculty of Comenius University in Bratislava and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics of the Slovak Technical University in Bratislava. He is also a member of the editorial boards of several journals (Clinical Osteology, Internal Medicine, MEDICUS News). In 2019-2023, he was the vice-dean of the Faculty of Medicine of CU for quality, development and innovation of studies and the chairman of the Quality Council of the Faculty of Medicine of CU.
